The Lakes is an exciting new distillery located in England’s Lake District National Park. The Whiskymaker’s Editions series features distinctive one-off releases that diverge from The Lakes’ signature style. The Lakes The Whiskymaker’s Editions Galáxia, released in 2024, incorporates characteristics of previous whiskies in the series, like stars aligning to reveal a celestial assembly of flavour. Alluring vanilla notes and creamy maltiness from Mosaic and Le Goûter combine with deep, fragrant layers and bold stewed stone fruits from Forbidden Fruit and Iris. No.6 and Bal Masque’s aromatic oriental spices are perfectly contrasted by the vibrant floral notes and delicious stone fruits reminiscent of Equinox and Soleado. The result is a rich, harmonious single malt that is truly out of this world (sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves).
